QR Code Generator

Content updated .

Create a static QR code for a website, shared document or everyday contact detail. All encoding happens in your browser; there is no short-link service, tracking redirect or subscription.

CREATE & SHARE

Turn information into a scan

No account, tracking redirect or file upload. Download a static QR code you can keep.

For PDF, JPG, PNG, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, ZIP, audio or video: paste its existing share link. Set the file's sharing permissions for your intended audience. Nothing is uploaded here.

Black on white, with a clear scanning margin.

Scan-test the downloaded code before printing. A file QR stops working if its link expires, moves or becomes private.

Choose content and generate a code. Inputs remain in this tab.

How to use it

Choose a content type, enter the information and generate a code. Check the preview, choose a filename and download PNG for everyday use or SVG for scalable printing. Test it with the phones your audience will use.

Useful example

To share a PDF menu, first store the PDF with a service you already use, allow the intended viewers access, and paste its shareable HTTPS link. The QR contains that link—not the PDF. The same process works for images, spreadsheets, presentations, audio, video and archives.

Tips

Keep the white border intact and print with strong contrast. A longer payload makes a denser code. Higher error correction uses more space; it does not guarantee that a damaged code can be read. This tool limits payloads to 1,800 UTF-8 bytes, and high correction may accept less.

Frequently asked questions

Can I upload a PDF or image here?

No. Use an existing shareable file URL. The file remains with its hosting service, whose access permissions and expiry still apply. Mathmatives cannot make a private file public.

Do these QR codes expire?

The static code itself has no expiry or subscription. Its destination can still disappear, expire or require login. Scan-test the final file from another device or a signed-out browser.

Can I change a QR code after printing it?

The encoded payload cannot be changed. You can change the destination content only if you control the same URL; otherwise generate and print a new code.

Does every phone support Wi-Fi, vCard and SMS QR codes?

No. Scanner and operating-system support varies. Test the desired action on your audience’s devices. Plain text may be displayed instead of opening an app.

Where is my data sent?

The encoder does not fetch your destination, upload your input or save it in browser storage. This page loads no third-party advertising scripts. Downloaded codes are readable by anyone who has them.
