Income Tax & GST Calculators
Tax is where a small change in the rules moves real money. These calculators apply the current slabs for India, the UK and Australia, show the working line by line, and let you compare the regimes or years that matter to you. The GST calculator adds or removes tax at any rate and splits Indian GST into CGST, SGST or IGST.
Rates are stated on each page with the financial year they apply to. Tax law changes every budget, so confirm anything important against the official notification or a tax professional.

How to use these tax calculators
Start with gross income for the year, not monthly take-home. Each calculator applies the standard deduction, the slab rates, any rebate or offset, and surcharge or levies in the order the law applies them, so the result matches what a payroll system or the official portal would compute for the same inputs.
For India, run both regimes. The new regime has lower rates and almost no deductions. The old regime keeps deductions such as 80C, HRA and home loan interest, so it can win for people with high rent or large investments. For the UK and Australia, the calculators also show National Insurance or the Medicare levy, which are often left out of headline tax rates.
Frequently asked questions
Which financial year do these calculators use?
Each page states its year and lets you switch where more than one is supported. India covers FY 2024-25 to FY 2026-27, the UK uses the 2025/26 tax year, and Australia covers 2025-26 and 2026-27. The rate tables live in one place in the code so they can be updated after each budget.
Are these calculators a substitute for filing software or an accountant?
No. They are estimates for planning and comparison. They do not cover every deduction, exemption or special-rate income. Use them to understand your position, then confirm with the official portal or a professional before filing.
Does the GST calculator work outside India?
Yes. It has presets for Australia (10%), New Zealand (15%), Singapore (9%) and Canada (5% federal GST), plus a custom rate for any other VAT or sales tax. The CGST, SGST and IGST split applies only to India.
